Tokyo 2-Day Itinerary: Quick First-Timer Plan

First-timer's plan - iconic stops, easy transport, no fluff. Best for: weekend trips and short stopovers.

Day 0 - Arrive in Tokyo

Arrival

Land, Check In, Keep It Light

  • Plan: Use this as your arrival day: land, reach your hotel, and keep the evening light.
  • Airport: Haneda is usually easier for central Tokyo; compare Narita only if fares are meaningfully lower.
  • Arrival plan: Reach your hotel, get your Suica or Pasmo ready, and keep Day 0 limited to a short neighborhood walk.
  • Buffer: Narita needs more transfer time before hotel check-in or evening plans.
